Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

We welcome your questions and comments on AIRWRAP, safer cot bumper solutions brought to you by The Little Linen Company.

Some of the more popular questions and answers are listed below.

Which AIRWRAP should I choose AIRWRAP Mesh or AIRWRAP Deluxe?
Both products are suitable for most cots and cribs. The answer depends on budget, parental needs and comes down to personal preference. We are glad to be able to provide multiple breathable solutions of cot/crib protection. AIRWRAP Deluxe has increased bump protection and offers the comfort and aesthetics of a quilted cotton outer layer. AIRWRAP Mesh is more affordable, slightly more breathable while still offering a moderate bump protection.

What is the difference in breathability of AIRWRAP Deluxe and AIRWRAP Mesh?
Both products are created to maximise breathability and airflow. If you hold either AIRWRAP over your own mouth you will quickly see that it easy to continue breathing. Regular bumpers cannot be breathed through at all. The AIRWRAP Mesh is lighter, thinner and single layered making it the most breathable out of the two AIRWRAPS.

Can the AIRWRAP be used for my cot with solid-ends?
AIRWRAP is available in two fitting styles:

4 Sides – Use with cots with straight slats on all sides
2 Sides – Use with solid or fixed ended cots

Solid-ended cots do not have the required rails for the AIRWRAP 4 sides to be fitted properly. AIRWRAP 2 Sides can be fitted to both the railed sides of solid or fixed-ended cots.

Should I use fitting option A or B?
Option A will suit most cots. Option B is a good option for larger cots or cots with large/bulky corner cluster of rails/slats.

If you find that your AIRWRAP is a tight fit using Option A, then use Fitting Option B.

Can the AIRWRAP be used for my cot with only one solid-end?
Yes, for cots with rails on three sides (and 1 solid end) we recommend the AIRWRAP 2 Sides. This would mean you would still be left with 1 end exposed.

Is the AIRWRAP suitable for my rounded cot?
AIRWRAPS can be fitted to this style of cot. The wrap would not cover the whole cot and would need to be weaved through most of the cot rails. This does provide protection from limbs getting through the bars but still leaves a large proportion cot bars exposed to the baby. We therefore do not recommend the AIRWRAP as an ideal product for this cot type.

Does Sids N' Kids Australia endorse the AIRWRAP?
It is Sids N' Kids Australia policy not to endorse any products, and as part of their safety recommendations suggest ‘traditional’ padded or foam cot bumpers not be used.

We support Sids N' Kids successful safe sleeping message, and suggest you refer to the Sids and Kids website for more information.

How do I care for my AIRWRAP?
Please visit our Care & Cleaning page for more information on how to care for your AIRWRAP Deluxe or AIRWRAP Mesh.

Does AIRWRAP have any other safety features?
Both AIRWRAP Deluxe and AIRWRAP Mesh have collapsible fabric to ensure it cannot be used as leverage for baby to climb from the cot, providing extra security from potentially dangerous falls.

AIRWRAP Deluxe and AIRWRAP Mesh have also been designed so they can sit below mattress level. This further protects little arms and legs getting past the AIRWRAP. Traditional cot bumpers are normally too thick to be fitted under the mattress level.
